This Privacy Policy applies to the MinnaLearn: Japanese N5 mobile application on Google Play.

MinnaLearn is a Japanese language learning app for JLPT N5 learners. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information: Email address and display name (Firebase Authentication, including Google Sign-In).
• Learning data: Lesson completion, study time, streaks, quiz scores, bookmarked vocabulary, learned kanji, achievements.
• Usage data: Screen views and feature usage (e.g., first_open, session_start) via Firebase Analytics.
• Approximate location: City/region inferred by Firebase from IP; no GPS/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth location is collected.
• Device info: App version and device type for troubleshooting. Learning assets are bundled in the app; no downloads from Firebase Storage.
• Study progress is stored locally (SQLite) and synced to Firebase Cloud Firestore only when you are signed in.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Create and manage your account.
• Track learning progress and streaks.
• Sync your data across devices.
• Send local study reminders and streak alerts (with your permission).
• Improve app features using aggregated analytics.

3. Data Sharing

• Your data is processed by Google Firebase for authentication, analytics, and cloud sync.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• Advertising IDs are disabled; the app shows no ads and performs no profiling.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored locally on your device (SQLite).
• When signed in, data is securely synced to Firebase Cloud Firestore.
• Firebase uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

6. Your Rights

MinnaLearn does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us. The app is rated IARC 3+ and contains no ads.
